ABOUT PROJECT
About Project
The purpose of the project is to raise funds for our program “WE HELP” by collecting small contributions from a large number of people to help Persons with Disabilities (OKU) in Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Labuan (PPDK). They do not have enough food as mentioned by the PPDK supervisor while we were interviewing her. Crowdfunding can be a valuable tool to help people with disabilities or handicaps, as it can provide a way for them to raise funds to support their specific needs and challenges. The purpose of the project is to raise funds for our program “WE HELP” by collecting small contributions from a large number of people to help Persons with Disabilities (OKU) in Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Labuan (PPDK). They do not have enough food as mentioned by the PPDK supervisor while we were interviewing her. Crowdfunding can be a valuable tool to help people with disabilities or handicaps, as it can provide a way for them to raise funds to support their specific needs and challenges. Objectives
- To expose students to the importance of crowdfunding.
- Organizing welfare works for 32 registered handicapped people and aiding the government in community welfare projects.
- Trying to get funds for PPDK Labuan.
Introduction
Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Labuan (PPDK) has been established on 23 September 1983 at W.P Labuan, Jalan Tenaga, Labuan. This place is encouraging the independent and responsible attitude of the local community in the rehabilitation program for the person with disabilities. Moreover, they also create a positive attitude towards the disabled, providing services and rehabilitation assistance to overcome their disability problems. In addition, they also provide educational and training opportunities such as creating opportunities to engage in income-generating activities.
Budget
We plan to allocate a significant portion of the budget towards various social welfare programs aimed at helping people with disabilities or handicapped. We hope this budget will enable us to provide the necessary assistance to those most need it.

RISKS AND CHALLENGES
- The challenge would be to raise the complete amount of funds within the timeframe.
- There will be 32 registered handicapped people to be donated and help contribute to their needs and support the educators there. Hence, estimating the quantity of the product or item to make sure it's enough for all registered handicapped is very challenging.
- If funds raised from the crowdfunding platform does not reach the target set from the total expenses estimated, therefore the donation for the food will be reduced to lower quantity of products for the handicapped people (OKU) in Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti Labuan.
- If funds raised from the crowdfunding platform reach more than the targeted funds, therefore, the donation for the food can be supported for each of the handicapped people at PPDK and will ensure that more necessities can be donated towards the handicapped people at PPDK such as teaching aids equipment.
